Time

I recently watched Inside Bill's Brain on Netflix. His PA said, “He is on time to the minute, every single meeting without fail. Time is the one commodity that he can’t buy more of. It’s a limited resource. It’s finite. He’s got the same 24 hours in a day that the rest of us have.” Right now, that is a very poignant quote in so many ways.

Whilst there are a lot of people still going out to provide healthcare, food, post, collect All around the world, right now, lives have changed and many, many people are in isolation, hopefully healthy but doing their best to avoid catching and/or spreading the virus. For me whilst that robs us of freedom for all the right reasons, it does provide us with that one commodity we can’t buy… time.

Whilst we shouldn’t go out and shouldn’t socialise despite the awful situation that is providing us with time, it’s an opportunity to do all those things that we’d normally not do, due to ‘time’. We’re filled in a world with so many resources at our fingertips.

Use this time and use it wisely. Learn an instrument, learn to juggle, learn to paint, learn to code, learn a language. Make the time to communicate more. Reach out to those friends and family you haven’t spoken to in a while and take that time to see how they are. Spend more time with the family in your house. Play board games. Play video games. Talk. Read more. Exercise more. Learn more.

The skies are beautiful, the weather is lovely but, for everyone’s safety we need to be smart and do our best to stay indoors wherever possible. Use this time wisely and come out stronger, smarter, healthier and happier.

Stay safe…
